Since I
have been living on my own, some of my attitudes changed. I became aware of the
fact, that food is not cheap, the washing machine is precious and missing
mother’s food is only natural. I don’t know if it’s because Graz isn’t such a
conservative little city like my hometown or that I just became an adult. But I
changed my views of our environment. All of the sudden water in plastic bottles
doesn’t taste as good anymore and fair-trade and ecological clothes are more
appealing than the 1-Euro shirts from China. I want to change the world’s
attitude towards nature and our earth. I want to leave my grandchildren a
beautiful world like I know it. And I think that every human could contribute
to this idea by simply starting to recycle their rubbish, stop using plastic
bags and plant a tree.Dienstag, 13. Januar 2015
Stay green my friends!

The pencil as a weapon
Je suis
Charlie. The sentence I
like to discuss most currently. How is it possible to count so many deaths just
because of some satiric religious comics which were published in a French
magazine? I am still shocked by the fact
that freedom of the press would be punished by terror and fear. This act of
terror didn’t only influenced artists all over the world but also Muslims. They
have to encounter religious racism everyday and the assault at Charlie Hebdo
made it much worse. This made me think and question our freedom and peace in
Europe.

Someone really has the same weird name as me
Bijelic isn’t
a last name you will usually find in Austria. But as fate willed I found my
namesake in my English class. Never have I ever known someone with this special
surname who wasn’t related to me in some way. So who is that girl named
Magdalena Bijelic? Is she my missing cousin I have always been searching for?
Unfortunately, she isn’t. Magda may not be related to me by blood, but we are by
soul. Just like me she has a passion for art and the English language. Maybe
all Bijelic’s have the constant urge to draw something.
